Epitome Concept An Awesome Car

No one at at Pebble Beach could have seen this coming; everyone had a pretty good idea of the classics and concepts that were to show off their muscle. But the Laraki Motors Epitome Concept, a wildly scooped and scalloped supercar never seen or heard of before, was so incredible that the company’s head of sales Quinton Q. Dodson had to explain it for people to realize what they were looking at.
Laraki is the pet project of yachting industry’s Abdesslam Laraki, pet being the understatement of the century; this motorized beast was built up on the chassis of a C6 Corvette, while the aggressively styled body panels – crafted entirely of carbon fiber – had weight reduction and efficiency in mind, which is why the car weighs around 2,800 pounds.
The most impressive part of this concept car is under the hood. The power of the Laraki concept is provided by the 7.0-liter Chevy V8, with completely upgraded internals and hooked up to a pair of identical turbochargers. With that in mind, imagine this: the Epitome engine has an output of 1,200 horsepower on pump gas. Bugatti Veyron?! Ha, what a joke.
Still, the madness continues, because the engineers at Laraki actually designed and fitted two gas tanks to the car – one meant for Regular and another for 110 octane. So, at the touch of a button, the Epitome will change its ECU map, allowing it to burn gas from both tanks, thus raising the output to a Science Fiction-like 1,750 hp.
Keeping that in mind, the asking price of $2 million doesn’t seem that much. It’s worth it just to see the face of those Bugatti drivers as you pass them by like they were standing still, right? Still, we’re talking about a concept car. It’s been announced that only nine Epitome supercars will be speeding along the roads in the near future, and I’m ok with that. Such an eccentric and powerful beast deserves rarity and carefully picked owners. Yes, that’s right.. as Mustangs are said to have chosen their masters, I believe these mammoths will choose their own. Good luck everybody, the game is on!
