Photographs of Bald Eagle

There are some amazing facts about the bald eagle. It is a powerful flier and can sweep fish from the water at an amazing diving speed of 120 – 160 km/hr.  The average lifespan of a bald eagle is 20 years. It is a sacred bird in some North American cultures. The bald eagle’s diet is mostly of fish and small mammals. The bald eagle habitats are the areas around large bodies of open water with an abundance of fish. Typical wingspan of a bald eagle is between 1.8 and 2.3 m (5.9 and 7.5 ft).

As always, taking a photograph of wild animals in their habitat is difficult. And capturing a bald eagle in its rocky mountain habitat need a lot of patience and perseverance. But due to technological advances in photography, wildlife photographers have shot amazing and beautiful pictures of bald eagles. The detailed picture of a bald eagle dipping its beak to catch fish in the water and the ripples made at the moment is mind blowing. The tangled dance of the bald eagles in the sky is captured in another photograph. It is a delight to watch such photographs taken with good resolution.
