Cars 2013

At the 2013 North American International Auto Show, Acura, showed the 2014 MDX Concept that it will be launching in mid-2013 with both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive layouts available. This new luxury utility vehicle isn’t finished yet so it was shown as a prototype vehicle. The exterior looks very good but the interior hasn’t been shown yet. When compared to the out going MDX, this new model has a refined design that has 16-percent increased aerodynamic efficiency.

2014 Acura RLX Hybrid

The RLX is replacing the RL in Acura’s line up as the new flag ship vehicle. This new model will compete with the best from Europe and Japan in the luxury car segment. Acura enthusiasts have been waiting for a new RL for sometime and the production version of the RLX was shown at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. This car is kind of a “Plan B” for Acura as the RL they really wanted to build ended up being cancelled. This looks to be a great replacement and has the design and features to earn its flag ship title.

2013 Acura RDX

The second generation of the RDX was first shown at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show (North American International Auto Show). The RDX will receive some major changes for the 2013 model year. The Turbocharged four-cylinder engine has been replaced by a 3.5L V6. The wheelbase (105.7in) and width (73.8in) have been slightly increased while over all height is lower (64.2in). The RDX has also lost curb weight despite its larger engine coming in at 3,717 lbs while the out going model is at 3,968 lbs.

2013 Acura ILX Hybrid

The Acura ILX is a new entry-level luxury car that is based on the Honda Civic. The concept version of this car was first unveiled at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show (North American International Auto Show). The production version was first shown at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. The ILX Hybrid is Acura’s first ever hybrid model. The ILX hybrid will deliver an EPA estimated 35/38 mpg city/highway
