2014 Cadillac ELR

The Cadillac ELR is a front wheel drive plug-in hybrid sports car that was first shown as the Cadillac Converj Concept at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show (North American International Auto Show). The Cadillac ELR is built on the GM Delta II platform that is shared with other GM cars such as the Chevrolet Cruze and Volt models. The ELR is expected to be available by the end of 2013 as a 2014 model. The 2+2 ELR coupe features large 21-inch wheels in front and 22-inch wheels in the rear. This car has styling that almost suggests it is a sports car or performance oriented machine but this car is all about efficiency. The design is very striking and looks great, this is probably one of the best looking hybrid cars I’ve seen.
Performance

Details on the performance, price and launch date will be announced at a later date. The Cadillac ELR is expected to use the same drive-train as the Chevrolet Volt incorporating the electric motor and four-cylinder engine/generator. The electric motor produces 160 horsepower (120 kW) and 273 lb-ft of torque.
