Hyundai PassoCorto

Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) has been working hard on coming up with a worthy Hyundai competitor for the Alfa Romeo 4C, and here it is: the Hyundai PassoCorto, ready for public introduction at the 84th Geneva Motor Show.

Commissioned by the Hyundai Design Center Europe, the PassoCorto concept represents a tribute to Italian design, in the form of a rear mid-engined, two-seater lightweight sports car. The concept’s name actually means “short wheelbase” in Italian.
The Hyundai comes with the following physical dimensions: 4100mm length, 1880mm width, 1160mm height and a 2450mm wheelbase. The vehicle was imagined with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, enabling the PassoCorto to weigh in at just 840 kg (1,852 lbs).
Power comes from a Hyundai 4-cylinder, twin-turbo 1.6-liter Petrol engine, which develops approximately 270 bhp (201 kW). You are free to enjoy a 1:10 scale model of the Hyundai PassoCorto concept, which will be exhibited in early March at the Geneva Motor Show. I’m wondering when we’ll be able to watch it pass as by on the streets.
