Amazon starts shipping the Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch Tablet


Its been quite a while since Amazon has unveiled the new Kindle Fire HDX tablets and they have been up for pre-order as well. Now, Amazon has launched the Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch variant, which is up for sale for just $229 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model.
This is a special offer price which will have ads and sponsored screen savers being displayed on the homescreen of the device. If you don’t want these ads, then by paying an extra $15 which makes it $244 for the 16GB you can get rid of them.
If you want the 32GB Wi-Fi model, then you end up paying $269 and the 64GB variant is priced at $309. For and extra $329 (which is an extra $100) one can get the 16GB LTE version which works with AT&T LTE and a different model which is compatible with Verizon LTE. If you do not want any ads, the you can add an extra $15 for the ad-free version of these tablets.






This 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX boasts an 1920×1200 pixels resolution display with a 323ppi pixel density. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is clocked at 2.2GHz and has 2GB of RAM. It comes pre-loaded with the FireOS 3.0 operating system which is based on Google‘s Android.
