Bailey Blade XTR by BXR Motors

There’s a car builder called BXR Motors, a small American company that raised its head for the first time in May of this year with the introduction of their first ever product, a front-engined super-carcalled the Bailey Blade XTR. The BXR beast has now been presented to the public for the very first time, with detailed specs – the official site contains more info. The Bailey Blade XTR looks a bit odd, at least that’s the first thing I notice.

Although it’s meant to embody the philosophy of the “average American man” and tries to represent the “reinvented American machine”, this vehicle looks a lot like a strange romantic relationship between a Dodge Viper, a Morgan and a Wiessman. Basically, a new interpretation of the classic British sports car shape. So, what’s that got to do with the American machine? The XTR features some American muscle; the BXR car is powered by a twin-turbo V8 motor, boasting 750 hp and a top speed in excess of 200 mph (320 km/h). Obviously, this is a rear-wheel drive car fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox the way any decent super-car should. The sprint is said to cover the 0-60 interval in 3.2 seconds. Other technical details will probably be cleared closer to the release date, in the latter part of 2014. I’m just curious if it can handle a corner like a proper car.
