Rejoice The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster represents another ultra-exclusive model part of the company’s 50th anniversary celebrations and will be built – as announced – in a limited quantity of nine units, with the pre-tax starting price of 3.3M EUR (approximately 4.5M USD or 2.79M GBP). That staggering amount of money does not include a roof, since the Lamborghini only comes with a rollover bar for added stability. So, get ready for some rainy days, for that money, you’ll probably end up living in it.

As a “open racing prototype”, the Veneno Roadster is powered by the same Aventador-derived V12 6.5-liter engine taken from the coupe version; this engine develops 750 HP (552 kW) and lets it rip through all four wheels due to an ISR transmission, which features five selectable modes. Speed? Well, the high-performance roadster hits 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds before topping out at 220 mph (355 km/h). It’s not a number, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience!
But with all its high tech specs and gadgets, this Lamborghini only weighs 1,490 kg (3,278 lbs) – just a bit more than an Opel -  which can only mean a power-to-weight ratio of 1.99 kg/bhp (4.38 lbs/bhp); that and the lightweight design with a carbon fiber monocoque and CFRP exterior body parts – while the cabin is also mostly made from carbon fiber – is the reason why I’m guessing this is the ultimate hyper-car ever built, and true Lamborghini fans would do anything to drive this beast. Just look at it, it’s ready for a kill!
